New Zealand Incident Management System

A national approach to the management of healthcare incidents; a project under the National Quality Improvement Programme (NQIP).

Thank you for your interest in the New Zealand Incident Management System (NZIMS). The Health Quality and Safety Commission are currently reviewing the programme to determine a way forward regarding a sector-wide approach to national healthcare incident management.  In the meantime, implementation of the Working Draft Policy has involved some amendments as agreed by the Ministry of Health and the DHB Quality and Risk Managers.  For specific information, contact your local DHB Quality and Risk Manager.
